Ellie O.

It must be so rewarding to know that someone was compensated for the negligence and deceit in knowingly allowing asbestos products to be sold and used.

Since I have been associated with your firm I have been so impressed by the expertise, professionalism, kindness and patience of everyone with whom I have had contact! Going from being seriously skeptical of any result to having a settlement is beyond amazing and I am beyond grateful to your firm.

The New York Supreme Court, Suffolk County denied the motion for summary judgment of defendant Gold Bond Co. LLC, finding issues of fact as to the asbestos content of Gold Bond talcum powder products used by the plaintiff, based on competing expert evidence. Belluck Law’s client will now have the opportunity to pursue this defendant at trial.

Congratulations to Belluck Law paralegal, Heysell Brenes, for successfully eliminating a Medicaid lien of over $300,000. Decreasing or eliminating entirely our clients' liens ensures maximum take-home compensation for them, which is why we are the go-to law firm for mesothelioma and asbestos cases.

Belluck Law appeals and wins a significant decision on behalf of a client injured on his bike by an inconspicuous toll arm in White Plains, NY. The Appellate Divison, Second Department unanimously ruled that the defendant had failed to meet its burden of proof.

The New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department ruled in favor of our client in this gender discrimination case.

Belluck Law defeats Ford Motor Company’s motion to compel our client to undergo genetic testing to determine if our client had a genetic mutation that Ford asserted could have contributed to the development of his mesothelioma.

You don't pay unless we win!

Over the years, our law firm has investigated thousands of claims against companies that made or sold asbestos products. Our attorneys have gathered extensive information about asbestos products and asbestos job sites
across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida, and the entire United States.

Deep compassion for our clients is matched only by our strong commitment to seeing justice served. We show no mercy when it comes to holding the company that hurt you accountable.

This commitment goes beyond our pursuit of full and fair compensation. We have built up extensive mesothelioma resources and support systems to help you cope with your prognosis or diagnosis and determine your next steps.

LET’s TALK

There’s not a moment to waste.

You do not have an unlimited amount of time to file a mesothelioma claim. Each state has laws that limit the amount of time an individual has to file a mesothelioma lawsuit, known as a statute of limitations. Failure to comply with this legislation may result in you being barred from taking legal action against asbestos companies.

Many of our clients have never been involved in a lawsuit. Although each case is different, there are some common elements to every case:

#1 First Contact

Our first contact with you is a personal telephone call to determine whether you should pursue a legal claim. We will schedule an appointment to meet with you as soon as possible, often within twenty-four hours. During that initial meeting, which can be at your home or in our office, we explain the process; explore your work, life, and medical history; and, if we conclude that there is a reasonable chance of a successful outcome, we will present you with a retainer agreement that explains the legal fees and other terms related to our representation.

Once we start working with you, next steps may include:

#2 Filing the Complaint

#3 Prosecuting the Case

#4 Settlements

#5 Trial (if necessary or appropriate)

You have questions. We have answers.

When a family is confronted with mesothelioma their lives are immediately turned upside down. At the same time you are struggling with the medical issues at hand, it is necessary to find legal help to protect your rights. Below, we have responded to some of the most frequently asked questions from our clients and their families. Here’s what you need to know.

What if my loved one has died or is too sick to speak with an attorney?

By the time a person is diagnosed they are often too ill to participate in their own case. In some cases, your loved one may have passed away before a lawsuit was brought and before they were able to testify on their own behalf. If an individual is unable to testify, we work closely with family, friends, and co-workers to establish the facts we need to successfully prosecute the case. We also have access to a vast array of resources to secure information about the products to which your loved one was exposed.
